Give field work a case-linked arrival and departure record. Each action requests a fresh device location and requires confirmation from your agency server.
Record arrival
Tap GPS Check in, allow device location access and wait for server confirmation. The case records the arrival event with its time, location coordinates and reported accuracy.
Record departure
Tap GPS Check out when the assignment ends. Confirm the server result and review the case history for the corresponding departure event and field status.

The app collects location when you tap Check in or Check out. It does not continuously track your location in the background. GPS history retains timestamps, coordinates and reported accuracy; approximate addresses appear when available from the agency server. Location permission, a usable device fix and server connectivity are required.

Review case and system messages, with push delivery where the agency and device configuration support it. Notification access follows the connected account.
Device unlock and session controls
Use supported biometric or device unlock after inactivity, review app information and sign out through the account controls.
Drafts and synchronization
Supported note and entry drafts can be retained locally in encrypted storage for review. They are not submitted without your approval. GPS events require live server confirmation.
Your agency connection
Connect to your agency’s compatible HTTPS installation. Role, assignment and server configuration determine the records and actions available to each user.

Case Files Mobile is included as an add-on to Case Files Professional PI case management under either hosting arrangement. It connects to the agency system and does not replace it or operate as a separate standalone case management platform.

Case Files Mobile questions
Is Case Files Mobile a separate system?
No. It is an Android add-on connected to Case Files Professional PI case management. A compatible agency installation and authorized account are required.
Is the app included with both hosting options?
Yes. Case Files Mobile is included with Case Files Professional whether you self host or we host the PI management system.
Does GPS check-in track me all day?
No. Location is requested when you choose GPS Check in or GPS Check out. Each event requires server confirmation; the app does not run continuous background location tracking.
Can I check in without an internet connection?
GPS check-in and check-out require live agency-server confirmation. Local draft support does not turn an unconfirmed GPS action into a recorded field event.
What does the GPS history show?
The case history can show investigator, arrival and departure timestamps, coordinates, reported accuracy and an approximate street address when available.
Is Case Files Mobile available for iPhone?
iPhone support is pending. The current app is for Android; no iPhone release date is announced here.
What is the Android availability?
The Android app is available on Google Play. App download links are not published on this site yet. iPhone support is pending.
